The Versova police have decided to check the phone records of model Natasha Padbidri (31), who committed suicide on Sunday, to know what kind of depression was she going through and if she had spoken to anyone about it. Meanwhile, the investigators have ruled out any kind of foul play in the incident.

A police officer of the Versova police station said, “So far, the cause that has come to light is that Natasha was allegedly depressed because of lack of modelling assignments. A few years ago, she had also suffered a fractured leg and an iron rod had to be inserted in her right leg. This might have affected her ability to walk the ramp, leading to lack of assignments.” Natasha was found hanging in her room on the 5th floor of a building in Mandir Masjid on Yari Road, Andheri (west) by her brother who had gone to her house to enquire about why had she not come to the family residence on the ground floor for lunch. Natasha’s body was later taken to the Cooper Hospital for autospy.

The family has apparently not blamed anyone for her suicide. A few days ago, 37-year-old model Viveka Babajee, was found hanging at her flat in suburban Bandra.
